Sales Associate/Kitchen Help
Reports to the Store General Manager
Job Overview:
The Sales Associate/Kitchen help performs the day-to-day convenience store operations. The Sales Associate/Kitchen help is a vital member of our organization, playing an essential role in ensuring a positive experience for customers and a great work environment for team members. The self-motivated, service-oriented individual will be accountable for demonstrating exceptional customer service and a team-oriented mindset. Works on cleaning and stocking to ensure the store is ready for the next shift.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Register sales on the cash register.
- Collects payments by accepting cash, check, charge, or credit card payments from customers and makes changes for cash customers if necessary.
- Maintain a positive work environment for all team members.
- Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Generate accurate till reports for each register.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform procedures to ensure the store is clean and stocked.
Qualifications:
- Some high school education is preferred.
- Specific skills:
- Effective communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and problem-solve.
- Strong work ethic.
- Positive Attitude
- Basic math skills
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Able to reach above your head to grab products.
